The Allergen List is Changed by Regulation 2023\/1545 from 24 to 80+ Substances."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Regulation (EU) 2023\/1545, concerning the labelling of allergenic fragrance substances in cosmetic products, amends Annex III of Regulation (EC) 1223\/2009 on cosmetics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The regulation significantly expands the list of allergenic substances that must be declared on the labelling of cosmetic products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">From July 2026, the new labelling requirements will apply to products placed on the EU market for the first time.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gap\" style=\"line-height: 10px; height: 10px;\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>What is changing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Until now, mandatory labelling covered 26 fragrance substances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Under the new regulation, the list of allergens is substantially extended and now includes more than 80 substances, which must be declared in the ingredient list when their concentration exceeds:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">0.001% in leave-on products<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">0.01% in rinse-off products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"gap\" style=\"line-height: 10px; height: 10px;\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Purpose of the new labelling requirement<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The aim of this new requirement is to better inform consumers who have a sensitivity or allergy to specific fragrance substances, enabling them to identify and avoid ingredients that may trigger a reaction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"gap\" style=\"line-height: 10px;
