ELINEK S.A. was founded in 1997 and has been active primarily in the fields of cosmetic product testing, regulatory consulting, and compliance services. The company was originally established by Greek cosmetic manufacturers in order to comply with the then-existing EU directive on cosmetic quality standards. In 2009, the company’s management changed hands, while maintaining the same goals and vision set at its foundation.
Since 1997, ELINEK has continuously grown and adapted to the evolving requirements of the cosmetics sector, earning the trust of the majority of both manufacturing and importing companies in Greece and abroad. In 2018, after 20 years of expertise in cosmetics, ELINEK expanded into new areas of activity, including Food Supplements and Biocidal – Disinfectant Products.
The company’s testing laboratories are licensed by the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) and operate according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
Furthermore, they are certified under EN ISO 9001 for the following scope of activity: Chemical and Microbiological Laboratory Analyses (Cosmetic Raw Materials, Water, Challenge Test, Food Supplements), In-Vitro Testing, Cosmetic Stability Testing, and Testing of Disinfectant Products.
The inspiration behind the foundation of the company was the late Theodoros Tsiatas, who served as President and CEO until 2007. His principles and values continue to define the company’s philosophy to this day and have been embraced by his successors.
